End of bonding and growth of the vine

The binding was finished Tuesday, April 14th with a beautiful blue sky.

The vineyard benefits from these beautiful spring weeks. The first leaves are now visible. Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs are a little more advanced than the Pinot Meunier. But we have several days late compared to last year (to refresh the memory: http://bit.ly/1cQ1RCn)

Last days of October

Work in the vineyards are over for 2014 and the end of the year is being organised with mailings and deliveries.  

The month of October ends with flamboyant colors.

  

Autumn walk

Let enjoy these days that still feel almost summer (about 25°C yesterday afternoon) and go for a walk within the Champagne region  bearing pretty colors

The "bouvreux" (small clusters of second generation) are still ripening

These temperatures bring fairly violent storms for the season with heavy rains. Almost 50mm of rain fell in two storms, Sunday and Tuesday.

Harvest 2013 - Dates

The dates have been published by the CIVC saturday afternoon. The most hasty sectors started yesterday Sept. 24th (communes of Aube Region). In our case, we can start on October 3rd for the Pinot Meunier, October 5th for Chardonnay and October 7th for Pinot Noirs grapes.

It is then up to us to choose the optimal date.
